NSW Snowsports is affiliated with and works closely with the National Snowsports body, Ski and Snowboard Australia Limited (SSA) and the National Discipline Committees.
NSW Snowsports is also affiliated with other sporting organisations including the NSW Sports Federation, the NSW Olympic Council, South East Regional Academy of Sport (SERAS) and NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS).
NSW Snowsports has been representing and servicing snowsports enthusiasts, athletes and the sport since 1973. NSW Snowsports is governed by a board of eleven directors elected by the membership. There are directors representing each of the sporting disciplines and areas of Alpine, Cross Country, Freestyle, Snowboarding and Interschools.NSW Snowsports also manages the Amelia McGuiness Foundation, which was a Foundation set up in memory of schoolgirl Amelia McGuiness who died tragically in a ski accident at Perisher in 2009. NSW Snowsports provides club membership and insurance for our NSW Ski Clubs.
To develop snowsports in NSW to maximize its potential to build on grass-roots participation in programs and events, talent identification and development programs, as well as to continue to build on successful working relationships with stakeholders.
