Match Format:

Male:        4x 20 minute quarters with                 ¼ time - 3 min, ½ time - 10 min, ¾ time - 5 min

Female:    4x 20 minute quarters with               ¼ time - 3 min, ½ time - 10 min, ¾ time - 5 min

Details Of Competition:

Football is conducted under the rules of the National Australian Football Council unless otherwise

stated.

 

Teams shall consist of up to 22 players - 4 players may be used as interchange players and the only interchange provision is that players entering or leaving the ground do so in a specified interchange area.

 

Time-on will not be added unless the Umpire specifically instructs the Timekeepers at the time.  For example, serious injury, lost ball, deliberate time-wasting, etc.

 

The 50 metre centre square is to be used where possible. If such a square is not marked, then the central umpire has the authority to order players away from the centre area

The goal and behind posts must be padded

 

Equipment To Bring:                                        1 new football

1 new football

 

Each school must provide its own 1st aid kit; including ice packs.

 

Players must wear matching jumpers with distinctive numbering corresponding to their team sheet,

same colour shorts (without pockets) and same colour socks.

 

Officials:

Each team is to provide:

*    Competent Timekeeper with a time clock and a siren or bell;

*    Correctly attired Boundary, Goal Umpire and a team runner (a staff member or senior student).

At Region Final field umpires will be supplied

Competition  Winner:

Winner is determined by the final outcome of the match. In the case of a draw, an additional 5min each way will be conducted. In the occurrence of a draw at the conclusion of extra time, the following score will decide the winning team.
