Fishy Tales

January 26 = Australia Day & of course Tunarama weekend. The Tunarama festival in Port Lincoln returned to a frozen 10 kilogram tuna in the finals, instead of the fake fish used in the past two years. This year it was the Enfield Harriers athletes who dominated the event, taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the mens and womens competitions.

In the mens, Darren Billett won the event with a throw of 32.25m. Matt Staunton was second, Wayne Willis was thrid and Alan Sperling finished seventh.

In the womens competition, Brooke Billett won the competition with a throw of 19.97m, Leticia Krueger was second and Amelia Boylan finished third.

The men then also backed up the effort where they combined with North Shields Sports to win the Tug-of-war.

Well done to all!
