Athletics SA state championships

Open results

Congratulations to Jared Tallent and Wayne Willis who won State Open titles in the 5000m walk and Shot Put respectively. Jared (a three time Olympic medalist) won his first state medal in Enfield Harrier's colors and the club wishes him all the best as he heads to the 2014 IAAF World Race Walking Cup in China. For Wayne it was his 11th State title and 5th in Enfield Harriers colors.

Kelly Heintze won her first Open State Champiomnship medal in a hotly contested womens 100m picking up Bronze behind Commonwealth Games hopefuls Margaret gayen and Alicia Wrench Doody. Rounding out the open medal winners is Kym Miller who picked up bronze and silver in Hudles and High jump to add to his swag of medals he has won over the years.

Junior results

The stand out Junior performer was Jessica Mills with 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 bronze, follwed by Tomas Semmler finished with 2 Gold and one silver and Karissa Kendall finished with 1 Gold, 1 silver and 3 Bronze.
