Working Bee Saturday, Sept 18

On Saturday Sept 18, the Enfield Harriers committee held a working bee in preparation for interclub competition. The goal was to clean up the old clubrooms, old clubroom storage area, new clubrooms and new clubrooms storage area.

Darren Billett and Wayne Willis had previously worked together to get rid of a stack of metal to a metal recycler. This cleared a large amount of space in the new clubrooms.

Amelia Boylan got the worms and was first on the scene to get all of the items out of the new clubroom storage. Darren arrived at 10am (feeling worse for wear with Tonsillitis) and got stuck into the task at hand. The pair cleaned out the old clubrooms and old clubroom storage area throwing away a lot of rubbish accumulated over the years. It was amazing how much better the old clubrooms looked and how much more space there was. There is still additional work to do in the old clubrooms, but the improvement was ten fold!

At 12, Wayne and Kylie Montgomery finished training and helped get stuck into the new clubroom storage area. The place was cleaned and items not used put into storage under the building. Shortly after Russell and Lauren Foote arrived to lend a hand. After moving some equipment, the pair launched into the task of cleaning the BBQ’s. This was no mean ‘feet’ as past users had not bothered to clean up after themselves

L but now both BBQ’s are fit to eat from.

Thank you to those that helped out on the day.
