A number of EH athletes have competed on the national stage since the beginning of the new year.  The following is a brief outline of our recent national competitors.

 

January 2007

 

Youth Olympics Festival - Sydney

Ø      Sara Jaric -  4^th in Javelin with a throw of

Ø      Mitch Fox  - 3^rd in Pole Vault with a vault of

 

Athletics Australia Cup - Brisbane

 

Ø      Meggan O’Riley – 6^th in Long Jump with a leap of 5.83m

 

Australian Cross Country trials - Canberra

 

Ø      Kristy Villis – 3^rd in the 6km with a time of 20.43 minutes

 

Telstra A Series – Canberra

 

Ø      Darren Billett – 1^st in Hammer Throw with a throw of 64.35m

Ø      Claire Woods - 3rd in 20k Race Walk in a time of 1:35:36.00

 

 

 

February 2007 will see Jacqueline Emms, Kate Shierlaw, Meggan O’Riley & Branko Jaric compete at the Telstra Australian Under 20 National Championships which will be held in Hobart.  It is also expected that a number of Enfield athletes will travel to Brisbane for the 85^th Telstra National Australian Athletics Championships in March.  We wish all our athletes the best for their performances.
