ZONE 14 COACHES COMMITTEE POLICY

This policy has been formulated to be read in conjunction with Zone Regulations 15.2.5 and 15.1.          

The Coaches Committee is to ensure that all Clubs throughout the Zone receive current information updates. In order to achieve this, the Committee shall conduct regular meetings and seminars.

In order to achieve this, the Committee shall:

  1. Ensure that all coaches (whether they work with children or not) abide by the Child Protection & Member Protection Policies of RNSWBA, and also obtain the relevant Government Working with Children Check;
  2. Act in conjunction with the RNSWBA Coaches Committee;
  3. Promote an amicable fellowship amongst coaches;
  4. Ensure uniformity in the current coaching methods. Promote uniformity in the instruction and education of potential coaches in conjunction with the Coaches Committee of Bowls Australia;         
  5. Promote an awareness of the functions and responsibilities of Coaches among Zone and Club officials;
  6. Promote the services and advice which is available from the Committee to the Zone and Clubs on all occasions;
  7. Maintain a high uniform standard of coaching within the Zone;
  8. Maintain a current record of Coaches in the Zone including a record of transfers and resignations;
  9. Identify potential Coaches in Clubs and encourage them to attend appropriate courses;
  10. Organise regular interaction between Umpires and Coaches through meetings and social bowling activity.
