Details to come.

CARRERA CUP

Widely acclaimed as the 'Fastest One Make Category in Australia', what makes Carrera Cup racing so exciting is that the cars are as close to identical as you will find in any motor racing series in the world. The winning advantage comes down to driver and team skill, experience and determination.

With a top speed in excess of 300 kilometres per hour, the lightweight, high performance vehicles have a 400 horsepower, 3.6-litre six-cylinder boxer engine which revs to a maximum 8200 RPM, producing a sound that is distinctly Porsche.

FORMULA FORD

Formula Ford is the world's premier junior development category in motor sport and in 2006 underwent its most significant change ever. An all-new Ford Fiesta 1600cc engine was introduced for the 2006 season, replacing the Ford Cortina and Escort powered Kentengine that has been with the category for over 30 years.

Currently, over 70% of V8 Supercar drivers, raced in Formula Ford category in their early careers, plus many Australian stars racing overseas, including Formula One driver Mark Webber.

Each vehicle is powered by the 'control' Ford Fiesta 1600cc, 100ps DOHC, lightweight aluminium, four cylinder engine for Australian competition. Tuned to develop more than 125 horsepower, Formula Fords reach speeds in excess of 250 km/h.

The key to the category's long-term success is the uniquely level playing field of the equipment and chassis, allowing differences in skill to become the sole victory between drivers. The relative parity between the vehicles also serves to guarantee the category's reputation for some of the most exciting and nail-bitingly close racing to be seen on any Australian or international circuit.

MINI CHALLENGE

MINI Challenge will be one of the most exciting, vibrant and entertaining motor sport categories in Australia. MINI Challenge is already racing in Germany, United Kingdom and New Zealand.

Drawing on four seasons in Europe of high-octance, nail bighting close racing, the 2008 MINI Challenge race car will feature a 154kW John Cooper Works engine, but in this new guise, induction is boosted by a turbocharger rather than a supercharger.
