WMR Golf

Qualifying:

Competitors may compete in an Individual and Team event.

The Convener has the right to vary the number of entries if it becomes necessary because of Club restrictions, tee availability, etc.

Match Format:

The following competitions shall be played over 18 holes:

Boys Championship                Girls Championship                     

School Teams Championship

Boys Handicap                          Girls Handicap

Each School Team shall consist of 4 players who must all be students of the nominated school. The team may include boys and girls.

Players wishing to be considered for the handicap competition must be able to verify their handicap on request by providing their Golf Link number or a current Australian Handicap Certificate from their club.

To be eligible for participation in the State Final all players must have met the following standard at their Region Competition.

Scratch Score of 120 or less, or win the Region Championship, or be part of a winning team

Scratch Score of 110 or less, or win the Region Championship, or be part of a winning team

Scratch Score of 100 or less, or win the Region Championship, or be part of a winning team.

Scratch Score of 90 or less, or win the Region Championship, or be part of a winning team.

Players must carry/wheel their own clubs and are not permitted to seek outside advice.

Team Winner:

The lowest 3 scores returned by team members will be counted in determining the total score of the team. If tied the score of the third member of each team is considered, with the lower score winning. If still tied, the scores of the second member shall count. If still tied, a draw shall be declared.
