The Competition Committee is responsible for the organisation of all 5 LAVic State Championships – Track & Field, Relays, Multi-Event, Cross-Country and Road Relays. The Committee provides guidance and assistance to Centres to plan their competition and for Regions to plan and organise qualifying rounds for the State Championships. In addition they determine and update the specifications of equipment and implements to be used in conducting events as well as the approval of Centre Uniforms and continual improvement of the Competition Regulations.

Education are involved in the two major areas of development for our association, that of our children and our adult supporters. The children are supported through the development of "On Track", coaching clinics and camps. Whilst the adults are supported by coaching courses and officials training programs. Coordinating the Junior Development Squad for U12 - U15's is also a task undertaken by the committee.

The Finance Committee prepares the annual budget and continually monitor the financial status of the Association, including education and auditing of Centres as well as continually looking at opportunities for better investment of funds.

Membership Development is responsible for co-ordinating and motivating the efforts of Clubs, Centres and Association personnel to enhance acquisition and retention of members through programs such as "Little Athletics Program for Schools (LAPS)" and "Bring a Friend". LAPS delivers are free athletics program to 20,000 school children across Vcitoria and Bring a Friend is a Come 'N' Try program. The committee also has input into Associaition reward schemes commneding valuable volunteers and Centres.
Apart from the general area of publicity and public relations, this committee is also involved in the co-ordination of the "Change for Kids" Royal Children's Hospital fundraising and the Good Friday Appeal event at the Etihad Stadium.
