Mentone Relay Day is fast approaching. If you (or your business) would like to donate a prize for our raffle on the day please contact mentonepresident@lavic.com.au.
Congratulations to our U14-15-16 Age Groups for taking the prize with 20 laps in our Relayathon this year. Runners-up were the U11's with 17 laps. Overall we ran 135 laps, slightly down on our 2019-20 result.
We collected $543.80 in cash and EFTPOS donations on the day, with a further $135.78 donated online, for a total of $679.58 raised by our members for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal. We have transferred the money we collected with an additional $500 from the Centre (we hit our $500 limit).
We have also donated $655 to the Monash Children's Hospital, made up of a base $250 plus $3 per lap.
Therefore this year's Relayathon has raised $1,834.58, not a bad effort indeed!
As there is no regular round this Saturday due to the State Track and Field Championships, we're going to hold a fun session for all age groups this Friday night from 5:30pm. It's an optional session, results won't count towards 100% attendance or awards.
Program coming soon, but we'll try to have the U6-U8 age groups finished by 7pm and the older age groups by 8pm (if not earlier).
We are crossing our fingers that this drizzle will clear.
See you all here for Round 11 as scheduled.
At 7:30am we will decide how we will proceed tomorrow. If there is no announcement, sessions will proceed as planned.
If it's raining but looks like it might clear, we may postpone the U6-8 session, go ahead with the U9-16 session and then run the U6-8 session afterwards (at about 12pm).
Please check back here on our website and also your email for updates in the morning.

LAVic is advising all its affiliated Centres to cease all Little Athletics-related activities, thus bringing the 19/20 track & field season to an early close. This would apply to training, Centre competition, Centre Championships events, Open Days etc. Centres should give consideration to delaying proceeding with Presentation Days to a more suitable date.
