District Pennant Season 2014 - Final Post
Kevin Williams, our District Bowls Organiser, has asked me to make one further post to wrap up the 2014 District Pennant Season. Pennant Round 10
The District Pennant Season is effectively over for another year. Kevin Williams, our District Bowls Organiser, has supplied us with the final Round 10 results for your enjoyment. Our thanks go to Kevin for collecting, collating and producing the results each and every week. A lot of work is involved and we appreciate his efforts. Thanks also to those clubs who week after week supplied their results to Kevin on or before the deadline.
Housekeeping: The Match Committee and the 2 sides involved have agreed the deferred Round 5 match between Port City & Wauchope Grade 1 sides has been declared a tie under COP 4.9 With each team being awarded three (3) points.
Congratulations to the Westport Grade (6/1 Section) who beat South West Rocks (6/2 Section) 69 to 46 this morning.(Sunday)

Grade 3 - Port City
Grade 4 - North Haven
Grade 5 - Port Panthers
Grade 6 - Westport
Grade 7 - Westport
Finally, good luck to all 7 LNC District sides progressing to Zone. Hopefully we will see these same sides doing us proud at State level.

Pennant Round 9

Note in Grade 4 Port City were disqualified for a breach of COP 4.16.1.4 and North Haven awarded the 6 points for the round. This change is shown in the charts and result table below.
Pennant Round 8
Congratulations to all clubs for getting their results notices into Kevin in record time.
The pointy end of the competition is upon us. Some clubs in some grades look like a shoe in but in others, eg the 3's and 4's, it looks to be very close run races.

Pennant Round 7 Update (Mark4) uploaded 6:10pm Monday 14/4/2014
Round 6 is complete (rain affected games have been concluded and results received). OK the table and charts below are as finished as they are going to get for Round 7. The only outstanding "missing" event is the Grade 1 Wauchope/Port City clash from an earlier round postponed because of State Representation by one of the players.

Please note, the Grade 1 chart still needs an additional 6 points added to Port City, Waucuope or spread between them. 6 points to Port City would make it a very close contest in that Grade.
Pennant Update for Round 6: (posted Sunday evening 6th April) Kevin has supplied an update to the Round 6 Results posted last night. Some of the missing games' results have been added and a correction made to the Grade 2 progressive scores.

Unfinished matches have to be completed on or before Sunday, 13th April and results to Kevin by 6pm on that Sunday.
PENNANTS 2014 - Round 6 - April 5th
District Bowls Organisers have to be a tough breed but you have to feel for Kevin Williams in his role as the collector, collator and reporter for each of the Pennant rounds.
Round 6 started in bright sunshine and ended, well, depending on where you were, either a little damp but with games finished or very wet and with games unfinished eg two matches in Grade 1 and one each in Grades 3, 4, 5 and the 6/2's. Add to that a couple of results sheets have yet to be submitted.
Despite all that Kevin has provided an interim Round 6 Results notice which will be updated and then published here over the coming days and, for games not completed, over the following weeks.
Obviously the progressive scores will not reflect the true positions of District clubs in some grades.
Because of the incomplete rounds our graphs for Round 6 only feature the grades with up-to-date progressive scores ie the 2's , the 6/1's and the 7's.

Pennant Results - Round 5.
Round 5 results are now complete - View/download the updated results here (in PDF format) - with the exception of the Grade 1 match between Port City and Wauchope. Check out the Full Round 5 stats and graphs by Grade are here.
The DMC granted dispensation for the deferment of this match due to player involvement in the Australian Sides Championship in Tasmania from 28/3/2014 to 3/4/2014.Results for the deferred match will be included in the round results following the completion of that match.
