This website has information for the Little Athletics Centres that make up the Eastern Metropolitan Region.  It has minutes of monthly Delegates and Competition meetings, results of Regional Events, Open Day info and any other information we believe the centres should require.

 Our Responsibilities

The EMR's main responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating communication between the state body and its centres, other regions and between centres within the region.
  • Facilitating and coordinating LAVic programs such as On-Track (U6-U7 skills development program), coaches & officials development programs, LAPS (Little Athletics in Primary Schools), Bring a Friend Day, Volunteer of the Year, Officials coaching and  Crystal Creek Coaching camps
  • Coordinating qualifying events for State Relays and State Track and Field competitions.
  • Hosting a Regional Cross Country championship.
  • Hosting weekend training camps for athletes within the region

Little Athletics Victoria (LAVic) has approx 22,000 members aged between 5-15, in 121 centres across the state and is divided up into 7 regions (4 metro & 3country)

The Eastern Metropolitan Region (EMR) is one of the the largest regions and consists of 12 affiliated centres with approx 5000 registered members.  It's zone stretches from the Dandenong Ranges to the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne .

The region consists of the following centres:

Box Hill, Camberwell/Malvern, Collingwood, Cockatoo, Croydon, Doncaster, Kew, Knox, Nunawading, Ringwood, Sherbrooke,Yarra Ranges.
