Women  -  Wallaroos v Arrows/Athletics 

15 minutes into the game A/Athletics scored the first goal of the game.  With only 4 minutes to go before half time Belinda Kenny did a great individual run into the circle to earn a corner. The drag out from the corner was trapped at the top and a layoff to Eva Golusin who did a great slap shot into the net making it 1-1. With 1 minute to go before half time young Keely Reilly took a free hit near the 25 with the ball going towards the circle resulting in a deflection by Eva into the goal. Half time score 2-1 to Roos.

Both teams came out firing in the second half with shots on goal by both teams and both goalies having to make great saves.  In the last 15 minutes the pressure was on with Keeley earning a corner after a great run through a couple of players into the circle. A perfect corner trap by Trudi Pedersen for a shot resulted in Anniston Chappell deflection into the goal to make the score 3-1.

The last 5 minutes saw lots of pressure on Roos defence with Arrows earning 4 corners in a row. Roos defence were strong with Yolande Kliese the Roos goalie having to make some great saves to keep the ball out.  

Final Score ...................... Wallaroos 3-1

Men  -  Granville Tigers v Wallaroos

The first 15 minutes Roos came out firing with most of the play in their territory and great saves needing to be made by Granville goalie Rodney Wall. The pressure was too much for Granville when Jordan Pedersen did a tomahawk towards the goal for Joel Willliams to make a deflection for the first goal of the match. With 1 minute to go before half time Roos earned a corner which was converted by a Mitch Kersnovske drag flick. Half time score 2-0 to Roos.

With 3 minutes into the second half great team work and passing resulted in a field goal by Joel to put Roos further in front 3-0. Roos were determined to keep Granville out with Matt Axelsen making a brilliant save by a shot on goal by Dillon Hyland.

Granville showed their determination and 10 minutes into the second half Cameron Baker scored a great field goal. 5 minutes later Tim Lynch's great stick work allowed him to penetrate into the circle to score. Granville continued to pressure Roos and 3 minutes later Nathan Bristow perfectly executed a tomahawk shot from an acute angle to score. This making the score 3 all with 18 minutes to go.

The defence from both teams were under pressure with both goalies having to do many saves to block potential goals. With 6 minutes to go before full time and after a number of shots by Roos, Jordan was able to get one in the net. Granville earned a corner in the last 5 minutes however were unsuccessful in their conversion.

Final score ................. Wallaroos 4-3
