Turf's up - WOW what a weekend!
We have finally done it!
In excess of 100 volunteers put their backs into the removal process throughout the course of the weekend. It was great to see so many people across clubs working in teams to achieve the end result. We are very proud of our volunteer base who went above and beyond the call with this one. People power made a gigantic task manageable and for that MDHA is extremely grateful.
A special thank you goes to Steve Chappell for his ingenious turf cutting tool which was a great help and time saver, also to Mark and Faye Sengstock form Fairfield Butchery and Andrew Binnington and Woolworths who kept the troops well fed and made sure no one went home hungry.
Again thank you to all of our hard working volunteers and watch this space for the next instalment of the new turf and shockpad.
