Prime Minister's Olympic and Paralympic Challenges

The Prime Minister is challenging all Australian primary school-aged children to try a variety of Olympic and Paralympic sports as part of the Prime Minister’s Olympic and Paralympic Challenges.

Children are able to participate individually or as part of a group to accumulate points towards a gold, silver, bronze or participation certificate based on their level of involvement. Just by participating, schools, after-school care centres or sporting organisations can go in the running to win some fantastic prizes including sporting equipment vouchers or a visit from an Olympic athlete.

The Australian Government, in partnership with the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) and Australian Paralympic Committee (APC) has developed the Prime Minister’s Olympic Challenge and the Prime Minister’s Paralympic Challenge.

These two individual sporting Challenges which commenced on 28 May 2012, are aimed at encouraging primary school-aged children to be more active, have fun and earn rewards in the lead-up to and during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Challenges also encourage children to take up their favourite Olympic or Paralympic sport by joining a club and continuing their sporting journey.
