2017 ROSE BOWL
The 2017 Rose Bowl played between Central Coast and Newcastle was played on Friday 10th November at Ettalong Bowling Club. On a glorious spring day 28 selected players from each District fought it out in friendly rivalry for this annual trophy. District President Dianne welcomed Newcastle President Gail and her ladies as well as our own Central Coast ladies. The conditions of play were changed this year reducing the number of ends played to 18. The winners, as usual, were decided by the total aggregate shots of the 7 teams for each District. Our players gave it their best shot but once again Newcastle proved too strong winning 129 shots to 96.
Central Coast Pres. Dianne reluctantly handed the Rose Bowl back to Newcastle Pres.Gail and congratulated all players. We will meet again in the Newcastle District in 12 months time.
