2014 DISTRICT VETERAN'S DAY no. 2 - The Entrance
On Friday 15th August 80 ladies attended The Entrance Bowling Club for the second of our Veteran's Days. The Entrance ladies made everyone most welcome and after morning tea it was on to the greens for a game of bowls. It was a glorious day weatherwise, the sun was shining with just a faint breeze. All appeared to be enjoying themselves with much talking and laughing in between putting their bowls down. It was great to see such a friendly atmosphere.
Luncheon was served around 12.30pm and then it was on to a most enjoyable part of the day when our Star Super Veteran and Super Veterans' received their badges from District President Pat Frewin together with a lovely fruit tray.

The 'Most Senior' Veteran present was Gene Gordon from Toukley Memorial and the 'Youngest' veteran was Wendy Dipple from Halekulani. Each received a gift from District.
Eleven lucky ladies also were drawn out to receive trays of fruit. All in all a most enjoyable day for all.
President Pat thanked The Entrance for their hospitality and wished all a safe trip home.
