Round 1 Wrap-Up - Centre Training tonight

Centre Training is on tonight from 5-6pm.  These weekly sessions are free for our members and are a great chance to learn (or hone) the skills needed to get those PBs at our Saturday sessions.

Speaking of PBs, it's not possible to achieve one the first time you perform each particular event each season, so there were none from Round 1.  But we did have a record - congratulations to Tom Byrne for breaking the U16B 100m Hurdles record with a time of 13.78s.

Returning members, please note that free trial sessions are for new members only - please make sure you have registered and paid before coming down this weekend.  Results for unpaid returning members will not be recorded from Round 2 onwards as you don't exist in the ResultsHQ system until you have paid.

New members, please read on for more info if this Saturday will be your first session.

Information for New Members

Please make sure you register online before you come along on Saturday.  Click here to register, and note that you can choose not to pay and have 2 sessions as free trials. Once you are sure you wish to continue, please pay online as soon as possible to give us time to print your chest patches.  Chest patches help keep the session running smoothly (and are compulsory).  Look for an email from Little Athletics Victoria (LAVic) with details on how to pay your registration fee after you register without paying.

A scan/photo of birth certificates or other proof-of-age can be sent to mentone@lavic.com.au.

Your age-group is based on being "under" the age you turn this year.  If you turn 5 this year, you are Under 6.  If you turn 13, you are Under 14.

U6-U8 Athletes, please arrive at 8:15am. Your session will go until 10am. U9 and older please arrive at 9:45am and expect to finish around 12:30pm. Assemble on the grass near your age-group sign to meet your Team Manager when you arrive.

Uniforms are recommended but not compulsory at our regular sessions at Mentone.  If you don't have a uniform, comfortable sports clothes will do.  Please also bring hats and drink bottles.  Uniforms will be on sale in the clubroom.

If you have questions or need help registering please come along extra-early and see Lalani or Cameron in the clubroom or any of our Committee members in their black polo shirts. There is also more info on our FAQ Page and Parent Duties page.
