Wickham flower & Co was started by Mr Wickham Flower in 1931.
Wickham Flower back then was a general agency for many things such as wool, grain, fertilizer, oil, insurance, land sales, and farm machinery being Massey Harris at the time.
As Mr Flower’s business grew, he became too busy and started to bring people into the business partnership to ensure he could continue to offer his services.
Wickham Flower & Co has continued this tradition by bringing in partners from loyal staff members right through the years.
- 1965 saw the company gain the Datsun agency which we still have today being the longest standing Nissan/Datsun agency in SA and second longest nationally. Fiat tractors was also taken on in 1965.
- 1977 Wickham Flower was fortunate enough to obtain the Chamberlain/John Deere franchise.
- 1995 Mazda was added to our offerings.
- 2000 Wickham Flower & Co purchased Naracoorte Nissan and built a new dealership to service the area with Nissan and also Mazda motor vehicles.
- 2004 Sellars Farm Service at Keith was purchased and renamed under the Wickham Flower banner as we started to increase our John Deere footprint.
- 2009 Wickham Flower & Co purchased MH Monfries (John Deere) at Naracoorte, which became our fourth branch and extended our area of responsibility right through the South east of South Australia. JCB and Goldacres were then also added to our quality range of equipment.
- 2011 we split the Ag division from the motor vehicles in Bordertown by relocating the Ag machinery business to the industrial estate to ensure we had enough room to handle the physical size of the equipment and also the volume of business we are now achieving.
- Today Wickham Flower operates 5 stores in 3 towns covering the whole south east of South Australia and western Victoria.
We currently employ over 70 staff and constantly invest heavily in training.
Together with our major suppliers Nissan, Mazda, & John Deere we take customer feedback very seriously and are constantly looking at ways to improve to ensure we deliver the superior customer experience you deserve.
