Congratulations and thanks to to all the Members and distinguished guests that attended the Roof Opening Ceremony on Friday 3rd August. Although the conditions were wet and wild those that braved the cold managed to bowl under the roofs and it was a great sight to see. Although it is unilikely to have to play in these sort of conditions into the future (especially during Pennant season) it is pleasing to note it could be done!!
This Project has been the culmination of many hours of work for many people, as well as all those previous and present members and guests that provided the funding to support this venture. Thanks also go to Federal and State Labor for their funding support asisstance through the various Grant schemes.
The Club would like to thank Madeleine King, MHR and Mayor Barry Sammels for cutting the ribbons to 'open' the new roofs, and to our guests from the constructor Auspan, Bowls WA and Rockingham Bowling Club for their attendance.
