Zone Representative Events
Welcome to the website for Hockey Victoria's Zone Representative Events - the GJ Gardner Homes Junior State Championships & Zone Challenge!
Both events are will be hotly contested by each of Hockey Victoria's 6 Metropolitan and 4 Regional Zones and provide up and coming juniors with a clear participation pathway from club through to state teams. Over the past three years the G.J. Gardner Homes Junior State Championships has continued to gain momentum with up to 1,000 players annually gaining exposure to this level of competition.
The 2013 G.J. Gardner Homes Junior State Championships (U13G / U15G / U17G / U13B / U15B / U17B) will be held during the July school holidays. The U17 JSC will be held Monday 1 July to Wednesday 3 July whilst the U13 & U15 JSC will take place from Thursday 4 July to Sunday 7 July
New for 2013, following a review of Hockey Victoria's High Performance & Athlete Development programs, will be the Zone Challenge. To be held during October and November over four rounds of competition, the Zone Challenge will encompass the "even" age groups (U12G / U14G / U16G / U12B/ U14B / U16B) and provide more players the opportunity to represent their Zone and access Zone hockey on an annual basis.
