Hockey Central Vic Inc. (HCV) is responsible for the Ashley Street Hockey Complex and competitions in Bendigo.
Boasting two international standard water based pitches.
Our winter season runs from March through to September, with social spring and summer competitions offered in October through to February.
HCV enter teams in to the Junior Country Championships (JCC) in U13, U15, U18 boys and girls divisions. It is our aim in 2019 to have competitive teams represented in all divisions in both gender groups. This is the beginning of Rep pathways in hockey. From JCC your child can be identified and selected to represent their zone (North West Lightning) at the Junior State Championships (JSC) and so on through to state selection.
The Inaugural Lightning team will be entered into the Hockey Victoria Under 16 Shield competition playing in both Melbourne and Bendigo. This new team aims to showcase the very best elite junior players from within our North West region of Victoria.
Our 1st official training on the turf is 6.45 for a 7pm start tomorrow night, Tuesday 5 February. Please come down introduce yourself and meet our new coaches even if you can’t train.
In 2019 the HCV are running their inaugural Regional Pre-season Tournament and would like to invite you to participate over the weekend of 8th and 9th March 2019 (Labour Day weekend). The pre-season tournament is aimed at creating a round robin event between teams that have been selected by coaches from a draft process held prior to the tournament.
