World Cup 2018 - Final Results

 

The final results from World Cup 2018 in Terrassa Spain - see attached document below photo at end of info for summary of Final Positions all age Divisions

Women’s
The 35s won the silver medal going down 0-1 to England in the Final. Highest goal scorers were Belinda Cameron and Sharon Clark with 3 each.
The 40s also won the silver medal losing to Argentina 1-2 with Nan Latta scoring 4 goals for the tournament.
The 45s finished 4th after a shootout against Russia in the Bronze medal game.
The 50s finished 2nd with a Silver medal after a 0-1 loss to Ireland.
The 55s were tied 1-1 with England at the end of their Grand Final but lost the shoot-out 0-3 to also take a Silver medal.
Our 60s teams played each other for the bronze with the 60s defeating the Wattles 2-1 in the shootouts after being tied 1-1 at full time.Bronze to the 60's and 4th place to Wattles.

Men's
The 35s are the World Champions after beating England 1-0 in their Grand Final. 
Our 40s played good hockey but shoot-outs got the better of them until they beat South Africa 11-0 to take out 7th spot.
Our 45s also came undone on shoot-outs, losing out to Ireland and finishing 6th.
The 50s join the 35s as World Champions, after defeating the Netherlands 2-1 in their Grand Final, only conceding 2 goals for the entire championship.
The 55s never lost a match in regulation time, finishing 5th after rolling Malaysia 4-2 in their final match.
