$30 Refundable Family Helper Levy

The wheels are in motion and change is on the way! $30 Refundable family helper levy.

In the lead up to season kick-off we’ve been looking at how other clubs operate. As our club continues to grow we believe it’s time to implement a system that’s already in place at many Little Athletics clubs and other sports too.

The 2018/19 season will mark the beginning of a system whereby each family pays a $30 annual deposit that is refundable at the end of season on the basis of each family fulfilling 4 parent helper duties throughout the season. Each family will need to put their name on a roster for the duty of their choice. Examples include canteen / BBQ duty, track/field set-up, starter duty or laptop/gates duty on the straight track. Families with children competing at zone and regional level will also need to assist at these carnivals (in addition to our weekly comp) as part of the refundable deposit scheme. Age Managers will not be required to join the roster in addition to their role. Families with a child / children in Tots only (ie: no children in older age groups) will also not be required to join the roster but they are welcome to.

Any deposits that do not qualify for a refund at the end of season will be added to the club’s fundraising account.

We are currently in process of putting this scheme together, ready to roll on the first week of comp. If you’re part of a sporting club that already uses this scheme we’d love to get your input!
