Starkey Steals Match Winning Break in Champion of Club Champion Singles Final
Umina’s Shane Starkey was in top form to jump away to a match winning break in the final of the Champion of Club Champion Singles against Ettalong’s Zach Roberson played at The Entrance BC on Sunday 3rd June 2018.
Starkey led 12-0 and 19-3 before Zach Robertson found his line and length. To Robertson’s credit he fought back but it was too big a margin to haul in to finally go down 31-18.
Starkey’s bowling career is a real success story having won the Rookie Pairs and named the “Rookie of the Year” in 2016 and now winning the prestigious Champion of Club Champions Singles title.
He will now go to Ballina to contest the State Final of the Champion of Club Champion Singles from 2nd - 5th October 2018
Umina’s Shane Starkey is hailed the winner of the Champion of Club Champions Singles by the marker Deputy Zone President Tony Hegyi with Ettalong’s Zach Robertson runner-up.
