Major upcoming Events At Halls Head.

AP & ES Games

From 29 October 2018 to 2 November 2018, the City of Mandurah is hosting the Australasian Police & Emergency Services Games. These games will include up to fifty two different sports, one of which is lawn bowls and Halls Head Bowling has been chosen for that venue. You can view the full details of the games on the following website:

The games are a mixed gender competition with approximately twenty percent expected to be Ladies. A total of between 60 to 100 bowlers are expected playing fours, pairs and singles. We are hoping to be able to juggle the events so we can include our pennants on Tuesday and then mix part of the presentations into our Friday night activities to create more of a social atmosphere.

A contingent of the AP&ES organisation committee will be visiting the Club on Saturday 28 October 2017 to confirm activities and proposed usage areas required.

Full details will be published as details come to hand.

Australian Fire Services Bowls Carnival

Another very important Event on our calendar is the ‘Fires Bowls Carnival”. Thanks mainly to the effort of Club Member and Firies member - Bruce Walter, this event too is coming to Halls Head Bowling Club. The dates to keep in mind are 2 March 2019 to 8 March 2019.

This event could test our resources with 250 to 300 people expected at an opening dinner on the Saturday and a presentation dinner on the closing Friday.

This event will overflow our greens on two of the days but with the grateful cooperation of Port Bouvard Bowling Club offering bowling greens and catering facilities the show will certainly go on.

Of the competitions, fours, pairs, singles and finals will be at Halls Head. Pairs and singles will also be at Port Bouvard.

Once again, stay tuned for more details as they come to hand.
