What a great morning for a CYCLE CLOSET TT! While the temperature was set to soar in the afternoon, it was a very pleasant 23 degrees at the start and a very slight wind prevailing. While other commitments kept some regulars away, it was great to see some new and returning riders out for a spin to set their times in the race of truth. Scott and Liam Nolan were the early finishers with great times of 23:09 and 23:28 respectively. But Michael Tenniswood was too good and was fastest overall covering the 17.3 km in 22:16.
Congratulations to David Miller who has Gemma on dishes this week, sneaking the win in the Kerno-Millo showdown.
The race wasn’t without its hiccups – a regatta at the sailing club meant some riders were slowed down to allow for cars and trailers to cross the road, Pete “Cinderella” Davis was in such a hurry to get to the TT he forgot his shoes and Darren "Frothy' Webb was unable to start due to a slow leak in his rear tyre.
Some rare TT photos of most riders are up in Tracey Green's album
The next race is scheduled for 7 February - ENTRIES OPEN HERE. Make sure you pack your shoes and your rear lights and we will see you there!
