Tasmanian Little Athletics season will finish with a two day State Championship Event at St Leonards Athletic Centre

Little Athletes from Under eight through to Under 15 will travel from all regions of the state to compete in the Championships, with representation from 19 of the 20 Little Athletic Centres.

This weekend is the final opportunity for Under 13 and Under 15 athletes to impress state team selectors as they vie for a position in the 2014 State Team.

As part of the official opening of the Championships, two lucky families will win trips to Melbourne. This exciting prize includes accommodation and return airfares for a family of four.

Proudly sponsored by McDonald’s Tasmania, both families will travel to Melbourne for three days, including a day spent at the MCG, the venue of so many of Australia’s great sporting moments. 

This weekend’s proceedings will include the naming of the prestigious Under 13 Sportsmanship Award, as well as the announcement of the Under 13 and Under 15 state teams to compete at the upcoming ASICS Australian Little Athletics Championships in Melbourne.

Pre paid programs will be available from your Centre Team Manager on Saturday morning.  Additional copies will be available to purchase at the administration building for $7.00.
