The 2013 McDonald's Northern Life Member Centre Challenge was held at the St. Leonards Athletics Centre in Launceston on Saturday, 9th November. Well done to those who braved the cold and chilly conditions and took to the arena in one or more of the 8 events on offer.
Rain and dismal weather greeted us as we reluctantly rolled up to the track. By 8am we decided, yes, lets go ahead. As the competition warmed up so to did the weather. The announcer, Roger, was working overtime to keep the events rolling over which made for a quick meet. As the weather warmed and the sun broke free from behind the clouds it was time to draw some prizes and award the winners of the Challenge.
Well done to North Launceston White City on taking out the title for the second time in four years. Here is a breakdown of the points awarded to each Centre.

Congratulations to all athletes that competed in what was a fun day of competition. Thanks must also go to the dedicated officials who assisted throughout the meet, who without such events could not take place.
