Race the inaugural State Cyclo-Cross Championships on a stunning course in the Barossa Valley, an easy one hour drive from Adelaide on Sunday 22 September 2013. Château Tanunda, ‘Icon of the Barossa,’ is Australia’s largest and oldest Château (est. 1890 - almost as old as PACC est 1885)! It is a truly awe-inspiring place to visit and is as magnificent as some of the best wine estates and Châteaux anywhere in the world. Château Tanunda Estate is the birthplace of the Barossa’s wine industry, where some of the first plantings and the first winery were established in the 1840s.
The course will include a variety of interesting and beautiful challenges including cobbles, railway crossings, racing along the vineyard and right past the cellar door! Some of the Barossa's finest food and beverages will be available during the day. Make a weekend of it and book accomodation through www.barossa.com
Riders are encouraged to stay all day and take part in the final event of the day, the All-In-Handicap Event to win the massive cobble prize. All senior entries include entry to that event. All Championship categories are on offer, from J11 through to Masters 10 and everything inbetween. Don't miss out, championships entries close 15 September.
