RACT’s Community Engagement and Education Manager Kathy Stocks said “RACT is looking forward to our staff becoming involved with the local Little Athletics Centres in their area and becoming a part of the Little Athletics Family”.
RACT is an iconic institution and is well respected throughout Tasmania. Its association as a sponsor of sports and community events, is highly regarded.
Little Athletics Tasmania is celebrating its 40th anniversary this coming season. With membership increasing each year, the Association is planning for further growth as it heads towards this great milestone.
The Little Athletics brand is very strong in the Tasmanian community with 19 Centres around the State. RACT are very pleased to be able to partner with a grass roots sport that offers so much to the young children in Tasmania. Not only does it offer participants a great sporting opportunity, the many life skills that they learn during their time in Little Athletics will stand them in good stead for the future.
Mrs O’Sign said that the support of RACT and the Association’s other State sponsors, IGA, Department of Sport & Rec, Zone3 and McDonald’s is highly valued, and is an excellent sign that Little Athletics is recognized as a fantastic junior sport for children in this state.
The 2013 / 2014 season of Little Athletics commences statewide on Saturday 5th October.
