Australian athletics moves step closer to unification

 Australian athletics has moved an important step closer to the unification of the senior and junior levels of the sport after Little Athletics Australia (LAA), Athletics Australia (AA) and the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) this week signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at aligning LAA and AA.

The organisations are working together with the aim of coming to an agreement over a new governance structure by 30th September 2013.

 “This is a really significant step for us towards combining the strengths of both the senior and junior athletics in this country,” said Dallas O’Brien, Athletics Australia Chief Executive Officer.
