Gala Awards Winners!

The Annual General Meeting also conducted during the day and we would like to congratulate Steve Cowburn (Knox) on receiving the prestigious award of Life Governor of the Association.  In addition Debbie Baskin (WMR) and Andrew Stirling (Diamond Valley) both received Distinguished Service Awards.

Other awards to be presented on the night were:

• Volunteer of the Year Award winners were 1 – Colin Segota (Brighton), 2 – Tracy Wilson (Bendigo), 3 – Lyndall Green (Leongatha). – Kindly donated by Bendigo Bank

• IGA Individual Docket Competition winners were Maria Downes - Bacchus Marsh, Jo Linford - Mentone, Tina Miller - Skye Valley, Ellen Dowie - Maryborough, Deanne Tranter - Maryborough, Maggie Trewin - Rochester, A Trease - Leongatha
• APBE Records - Sandringham U11 Girls 4 x 100m (Meg Cairns, Madison Chong, Sienna Fighera, Emily Wallace), Essendon U13 Boys 4 x 100m (Mitchell Burgess, Nicholas Giarrizzo, Kane Gaylor, Michael Romero)

• The Best Membership Growth winner was Southern Peninsula and the Best Membership Retention was Corowa
• Most improved Centre Traralgon who in 2010/2011 placed 68 - 2011/2012 placed 21
• Championship's Champion Award (this is an event awarded to the Centre who received the most State Medals in season 2011/2012
