Steffensen our Little Athletics Ambassador!
John Steffensen has been named Little Athletics Australia Ambassador to help ignite participation and grow the passion of the country’s young athletes.
Olympic Silver and dual Commonwealth Games Gold medalist, John is passionate about his new role.
“I enrolled in Little Athletics as a 7 year old and absolutely loved having fun with my family and friends. It’s a fantastic community activity that I’m honored to again be a part of. I appreciate the commitment shown in me by Little Athletics Australia and hope I can inspire more kids to become involved”, John said.
Little Athletics Australia Chief Executive, Adam Wallish is excited to formalise a relationship with John.
“From Little Athlete to Olympic hero. John has always been passionate about being the best he can be and already enjoys a great rapport with Little Athletes around the country. He will be a great Ambassador for Little Athletics”. Adam said.
Whilst preparing for the London Olympic Games, John’s role will include providing regular video messages via the Little Athletics Australia and State Little Athletics Association websites, appearing at local Little Athletics centres and being involved in other promotional initiatives.
