CONGRATULATIONS ON AN AWESOME RESULT FOR NEWCASTLE DISTRICT AT THE WBNSW Night of Champions Awards where we saw Genevieve Delves receive the WBNSW Most Improved Player Award, Natasha was presented with an award to mark her grandslam achievement as well as Bowler of the Year Award. Raymond Terrace Bowling Club was also awarded the WBNSW Country Club of the year award.
Olga Hyde was a finalist in the District Volunteer Award which was won by Gladys Barnes from Macquarie District.

Versatility was held at Stockton on 26 August in fine conditions until the fours when the players took to the green under cloudy skies. Despite a light shower the games were all completed and the winners crowned. Photos of each disciplines winners can be found on the Versatility page under the results of each.

Lowlands Grade 4 side won their section at WBNSW State Pennant Playoffs, well done girls. Fingal Bay were eliminated from the sectional play and did not contest athe semi final. Lowlands went down narrowly in their semi final to Stuarts Point who went on to win the Final against Cabramatta.
The Lowlands team of Carol Leo,Marion Wilson,Elizabeth Wilkinson and Janice Haynes who scored an 8 pin at the State Pennant playoffs 2016. Congratulations girls.

Congratulations to Molly Wilton from Raymond Terrace on achieving the NDWBA GRAND SLAM for 2016. At just 18 Molly has achieved a feat which few strive for but never realise. all four championships in the one championship year. We look forward to witnessing her future success on the green.

The next Umpires Course will be held at Raymond Terrace on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 October commencing at 9.30am. All interested members are advised to apply as soon as possible to WBNSW on the appropriate application form to secure their spot. Supak Delaney from Stockton WBC had a narrow victory over Julie Schumacher of HBG in the Annis Young Consistency. A great game of bowls which could have gone either way with both contestants playing excellent draw bowls. Congratulations to both players for a very entertaining game.
