2009 Mosey Along the Mersey

The second annual Mosey Along the Mersey fun run and walk took place in Devonport on Sunday September 20.

With the run also incorporating the Tasmanian 2.5km and 5km road championships, many of the states top distance runners turned out on Victoria Parade in Devonport.

In the men's race, Josh Harris improved from 4th in 2008, to victor in 2009, clocking 15min 28sec for the 5km journey.  He was followed closely by local man Douglas Hamerlok and Aaron Humphrey of Hobart, who ran 15.37 and 15.40 respectively.

Angela Grimmond successfully made it back to back titles, picking up the winners cheque in the women's, clocking 18.26.  She was followed in by North West coaster Lynn Saint John and upcoming Hobart based distance runner Natasha Fitzpatrick.

Over 100 runners and walkers turned out despite difficult conditions.
