Wrap-up from State 4km Cross Country

The inaugural Bootcamp Tasmania State 4km Cross Country Championships were held on Saturday April 25.
With Soldiers Walk on the Domain a fitting venue for the Anzac Day race, over 170 runners and walkers battled rain, mud and a 2km hill for the event.
Victories were recorded by Grant Page and Donna MacFarlane, with team presentations to be conducted during cross country on Saturday May 2 at Wentworth Park.
Team results were as follows;
Men
Gold - Northern Suburbs (Grant Page, Richard Welsh, Damon Court, Dave Costelloe) 10 points
Silver - Northern Suburbs Team 2 (Jordan Harries, Phil McConnon, Mike Anderson, Gavin Wickham) 43 points
Bronze - Sandy Bay (Alex Humphrey, Chris Sullivan, Garry Tello, Henry West) 46 points
Women
Gold - Sandy Bay (Donna MacFarlane, Andrea Marquardt, Rosalind Woodworth, Francesca Smith) 17 points
Silver - Northern Suburbs (Mel Daniels, Jenna Chiffey0Grey, Natasha Fitzpatrick, Lisa McConnon) 24 points
Bronze - OVA (Jess Morey, Sarah Browning, Felicity Stringer, Claire Cronley) 55 points
Team medals will be presented at Wentworth Park Cross Country this Saturday.
