The Australian 400m Hurdles champion ran 46.09sec in a flat 400m race at a low key Sydney Interclub competition last night.

It was a new personal best for the TIS athlete and just shy of the 16 year old state record of 45.99sec set by Simon Hollingsworth in 1992.

The time is the 7th fastest by an Australian this year, in what is one of Australia's strongest events.
