Wayne Fletcher honoured by Athletics Australia

It has been announced that Wayne Fletcher has been awarded 'Life Membership" of Athletics Australia in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the sport.

Wayne has been involved in administration/officiating for a number of years and is considered one of the top walks judges throughout the world which has resulted in Wayne officiating at the elite level including World Cups - World Championship and Olympic Games.   

Wayne is still actively involved in walking at Club level and is always keen to pass on help to both athletes and officials to ensure that the sport of race walking remains a vital part of the athletic scene.

Wayne is off the Bejing Olympics in August to officiate in the race walking events.
