Grimmond and Page increase their leads

19 May 2008

Following Sunday’s SMF City 2 Casino fun run in Hobart, the Tasmanian Distance Runner of the Year series leader board is starting to take some shape.

Each leader, has two victories and a second place to their name, meaning that no runner in Tasmania will claim victory in all 10 events.  The series welcomes Launceston’s Kim Gillard to 6th place, following his victory yesterday, however Grant Page has a massive lead at this stage, which was helped by the 7km event yesterday, featuring many of the states competitive runners, which was not point scoring.

The women’s ladder remains more competitive than the mens, with only one race separating the top 3.
