Vale John Callow

It is with a heavy heart that the Club (S.F.C.) sadly reports the passing of John Callow last Saturday.He was a solid Club stalwart of yesteryear during the 1950s, 60s & 70s.

John spent his early footballing career with East Burwood, before transferring to Scoresby in the early 1950s, where he gave the Club many years of valuable service,both as a player and committee member.One will observe from the Club's Honour Board that he was Club Secretary for some 10 years during the 1960s/70s and also spent additional years as a committee member.

During his years with the Club he gave much sound counsel, direction & advice.

He will be sadly missed.
