Results of 20km Road walking championships and Under 20 10km

Lynette Bannister took 3 minutes off her best in the Under 23 20KM Road Walking Championships yesterday (Saturday 23rd Feb) at Fawkner Park, Melbourne.  Ona fast track in good conditions, Lynetta started off at a fast pace, and then walking solidly to produce her fastest time yet over the 20KM event.  Lynette's time was 1.46.43.  Lynette has been steadily improving since her move to Victoria, and it has obviously paid off.
 
Daniel competed in a supoort 10KM race, recording a very fast time in the Under 20 10KM walk to finish 1st in a time of 44.24 a personal best by 32 seconds, and so very close to the World Junior mark.  Given his interruption in training over the last couple of weeks, Daniel was very happy with his time, and is confident of reaching his goal in 3 weeks time at the National Under 20 event in the Gold Coast.
