In total, 25 members travelled to the event, however two ended up not competing.  Jaye Hanson pulled a calf muscle while warming up for the 60m.

Warming up claimed another injury, although in an unusual fashion, with Al Coleman colliding with Dave ‘Crezza’ Cresswell.  Crezza was whisked off to hospital with grazes and concussion, but thankfully recovered quickly.

Coleman went on to win the event.

Australian Masters also made some award presentation for the 2012year, with two Tasmanian’s amongst the recipients.

Geoff Gibbons was a joint winner of the multi’s/relays title, with Rad Leovic of the ACT.

Mike Walker proved he does more than competing well in distance events, being awarded the Administrator/Official of the year for his work in development masters athletics.
