TASSIE TEAM FOR NATIONAL PRIMARY TRACK AND FIELD
 
Athletics Tasmania today announced the selection of athletes and officials to participate in the 2007 School Sport Australia Track and Field Exchange to be held in Launceston from 30 November to 2 December.
 
The team announcement follows the staging of the Tasmanian Primary Track and Field Challenge last weekend, which served as the principal selection event for the team.
 
Athletics Tasmania President, Brian Roe said that the Association was delighted to be able to give young Tasmanian athletes the chance to experience a nation wide competition in their home state,
 
“We were encouraged to see that 36 young athletes reached or were close to the selection standards we established and we look forward to each of them having a most enjoyable experience at what is always a great competition opportunity.”
