Events named for athletes at Australian All Schools

While there are some events where Tasmania will be lacking in competitors due to popularity of the event's in Tasmania overall the athletics community should be very excited at the number of talented young athletes who will compete for the state on the north island in December.

This new format for competition teams will earn points due to their finishing positions.  Athletics Australia has wisely developed a trophy for the three larger states, while the Tasmanian team will face off for the smaller states trophy against South Australia, Western Australia, ACT and Northern Territory.

Competition is held over two days, December 4 and 5 at the Doncaster track in Melbourne.
