Harries and Hutchinson Become Mountain Heroes

Jordan Harries and Ruth Hutchinson were the winners on Mt Wellington on Sunday at the annual Tasmanian Mt Running Championships.

The event was hosted by Endorfun and saw runners leave from Fern Tree Tavern, taking in tracks near the Cascade, then up to the Springs and back to Fern Tree. 

Harries covered the 15km course in 1hour 12minutes 43seconds to finish ahead of training partner Andy Allison and Allan Hood.

The women's race was a tight battle, with Hutchinson getting the edge by only 36seconds to Tracey Keating, who finished just 10seconds in front of Danielle Glass.
