Look, listen and enjoy this year’s Telstra A-Series –

extended coverage in 2007

Whether it’s watching the action live in the stadium, listening to our webstream of live commentary from each venue, following the live results, watching the highlights packages on athletics.com.au or catching the action on SBS – increased coverage in 2007 means the Telstra A-Series will be hard to miss this summer.

In 2007, SBS will continue their commitment to Australian athletics with extended coverage of the 2007 Telstra A-Series, in addition to their live and exclusive coverage of the 2007 World Athletics championships from Osaka.

SBS will televise a 90 minute highlights program from each of the Telstra A-Series events, in addition to the Telstra Selection Trials and 85^th Australian Championships in Brisbane.  The programs will also be repeated later in the week, delivering twelve hours of the Telstra A-Series to Australian audiences this summer, a three-fold increase from 2006.

Programs will be hosted by SBS reporter Emma Simkin and will feature SBS’s regular athletics commentary team of David Basheer and David Culbert.  Each program will include the highlights from each Telstra A-Series event, along with feature stories showcasing the stars of Australian athletics.

Each program goes to air the Sunday following each Telstra A-series event from 4.00pm.

In a first for Athletics Australia, an audio webstream of the stadium commentary will be broadcast on athletics.com.au

Commencing at the beginning of the main program at each event (2.45pm in Canberra this Saturday), log on to the Athletics Australia website to hear all the race commentary, results and athlete interviews. 

It will be just like being in the stadium!

Following each event in the Telstra A-Series, a five minute highlights package of edited action, including event commentary, will be available on the Athletics Australia website.

As always, live results will also be available via athletics.com.au
