The Boot Camp Tasmania 4km Short course champions are

Saturday the 24th April saw the running of The Boot Camp Tasmania short course cross country championships. After a dark and gloomy morning athletes turned up in the beautifully warm and sunny conditions.
Many of the competitors found it tough on the domain hill but least of all was Grant Page, Page backed up to secure the men's title in a good time of 13.14 minutes narrowly edging out the much younger pair of fellow Northern Suburbs athlete Jacob Malakoff and Eastern suburbs Dejen Gebreselasie.
For the women it was Hanny Allston who claimed victor in a winning time of 15.09 minutes. Allston claimed victory ahead of Jen Gillard and last year's winner of this event Mel Daniels all three ladies very competitive in what could be considered one of the toughest events on the calendar.
From here eyes turn towards the Mothers day Classic which will be the next big fun run marked on the calendar for May the 9th at the Domain Athletics centre.
