The result went down to a dramatic tie break situation, which remained unresolved on the initial count based on first placings, and could only be finalised by a higher number of second places recorded by the St Patricks’ athletes.
In the senior girls competition,
All second placed schools will be invited to take part in the “plate” competition which is held in conjunction with the national cup final.
AT President, Brian Roe said that Athletics Tasmania was delighted by the ongoing interest in the competition, which starts at local level with regional competitions all over
“All the teams that competed today are a credit to their schools and coaches. It is great to see young athletes enjoying track and field in a team environment,” Mr Roe said.
